Thoughts on the state of our country

 

I've been thinking lately about how accustomed to cheating, stealing and lying our society has become. It's sad that some people don't even bat an eye anymore. The Houston Astros can steal a World Series, Lori Loughlin's daughters can steal spots away from other possibly more deserving college students, people cheat on spouses, on tests, on taxes, rioters can steal television sets and loot innocent people out of business, the supposed President-elect can plagiarize speeches and be accused of stealing, cheating and lying about an election....and most people don't see this as a problem. Sure, they get reprimanded but usually it's forgotten quickly.  I never will understand how the folks who benefit from obtaining something by such means can sleep at night with a clear conscious. Just some thoughts. I pray for our country but more importantly for all people to strive to be better and do the right thing. Just because the world lowers its standards doesn't mean you have to.
